FMM: The Obligatory Fall Post & Second Trimester Goals!

I haven’t participated in FMM for a LONG time, but this subject is one of my favorites!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

Fall Favorites!

1. What is your favorite thing about this time of year? It’s finally getting cooler!!!  I go to sleep with barely a blanket on, and end up with about 3 layers by the time morning rolls around.  It has also been nice and cloudy which has been perfect for our morning walks.  It is great to not have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to beat the heat in the mornings!

2. What do you hope to do again before summer is officially over?  Technically, Autumn Solstice started on Saturday so I am happy to say that Summer is officially over!  We did a lot of fun stuff this summer and I happy to say that my summer has been fulfilled.  I’m not much for summer anyway.

3. When did you last go on a hay ride?  I don’t think I’ve ever been on a hay ride?  I’m more of a corn maze, and haunted house kind of gal.

4. What is your favorite pumpkin dish?  I know I’m going to disappoint so many people by saying that I am not a fan of pumpkin!  I do however love almost all kinds squash and the fact that spaghetti squash and butternut squash are now in season I can’t wait to make some new recipes with those ingredients.

5. Do you decorate your home for fall?  This totally bugs my hub’s, but I have pumpkins in my house pretty much all year long.  I hate the way they taste, but I like the way they look.  I can’t wait to carve pumpkins for our front step.

6. Do you have any hobbies that are season specific? I love to knit, and I’m hoping that I can finally finish this baby blanket I’ve been working on FOREVER.  I am also going to be trying out some new techniques so that I can improve my knitting.

7. Apple Cider or Hot Chocolate? I LOVE hot chocolate, but there is also nothing like stopping at Starbucks and sharing a Hot Apple Spice Cider with my hub’s while we are doing some shopping.

8. Are you a fan of football?  Who’s your team? We resisted for a long time, but ever since Manning went to Denver we watch the Bronco’s.  My hub’s is a die hard Peyton Manning fan and he reluctantly watches the bronco’s every week.  He is also a Fantasy Football Fanatic so to save our marriage I tell him he can pick one game that I will watch from start to finish (I’m not a huge football fan).

9. Share a fond fall memory. I think Halloween is just the BEST part about fall!  I love haunted houses, festivals, and corn mazes.  Also, Hanna’s birthday is on October 25th, and I would say she is my best memory so far!

10. It’s not fall until…. The leaves start changing color.  There are a lot of trees on my morning walks and I’m happy to say that most of them are at least half yellow.  So beautiful!

Second Trimester Goals:

I am so happy to finally be in my second trimester and kinda, sorta, feeling better.  I’m still getting sick, but not nearly as much as I was a month ago.  It’s time to rope in my eating and being more diligent in my workouts.  I don’t want all of my hard work these past couple of years to fall by the wayside just because I’m expecting.  there have also been a few things that I’ve been dropping the ball on lately.  Here are my second trimester focuses:

  • Drink 100 oz’s of water a day.  This use to be no big deal, but it seems that even water makes me nauseous these days.  I need to power through and drink the necessary ounces.
  • Walk at least 5 times a week.  Now that the weather is cooler there is no excuse to not be walking everyday.  Lately, I’ve been getting in about 4 times a week, but I know that I should be doing a little walking everyday.
  • Write down all the things I am eating in my diet minder.  I’m not necessarily counting calories right now.  Not to mention I’ve been counting calories for so long I know how much I should be eating.  I’m trying to keep it under 2500 calories a day so that I can maintain my weight throughout the pregnancy, and I’ll see how well I’m doing just by writing everything down.  If that doesn’t work I’ll have to start counting again.

These are so basic, but sometimes its the most basic tasks that get overlooked!

FMM: If Life Were A Movie

I know I don’t usually post twice in one day, but Friend Making Monday’s topic looked too fun to pass up. Plus, I am loving reading everyone’s movies that they wold love to be their life!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. I can think of a few movies that would describe different times in my life, or some that I wish for my life for sure!  I was reminded last night of what I wished my teenage life was like:

Oh man, I loved that movie.  I also had a MAJOR crush on Ethan Embry (who played Mark) and I loved the way they made fun of Rex Manning.  I also realized that you are so dumb when you are a teenager, and that I am NOT looking forward to when Hanna gets there.  Give me patience.

The movie that I would love to be real-life (sometimes, I’m actually very satisfied where my life has gone) would definitely be this movie:

First off, I love Meryl Streep.  She is probably one of my favorite actress’s (loved her in Devil Wears Prada), and Julia Childs reminds me of my dad for some reason (I recall him watching her and making fun of her voice quite a few times).

At times I wish that I could be whisked away to a foreign country and be so bored that I learn how to cook amazingly!  Ever since I have been a stay-at-home-mom I have enjoyed cooking.  I’ve tried new things and tried to document the experience along the way.  maybe not as detailed as Julie, but I loved the way she made a goal and stuck with it.  Plus some of the food she made looked amazing, and just thinking about the chocolate cream pie she made makes my mouth water.  So much that I think I can’t talk about this anymore!

Don’t forget to link up over at Kenlie’s blog with what movie you would like to live in!

FMM: What’s On Your Workout Playlist?

I am off of the ledge today, and happy to report that I have already taken 3 pounds off of that dirty number I shared yesterday.  I know a lot of it will be gone by this weekend so that is helping me stay positive!

I totally proved that little cartoon wrong.  Bitching DOES burn calories!

Now onto Friend Making Monday’s!

I’m loving the new button that Kenlie made!

FMM: What’s On Your Workout Playlist?

I LOVE the topic this week because I look forward to jamming out every time I go to the gym.  One of the reason’s I love going to the gym is to listen to music and zone out!  I like almost all kind of music.  The only genre I refuse to listen to is Country.  In fact, it is a wide known fact about my personality.   I CAN’T STAND COUNTRY.  My favorite type of music is Alternative, but because of the language it brings with it, I tend to listen to a lot more top 40 since I had Hanna.  I would rather have her learn cursing from me or Dustin, hehe.  A few things I am loving working out to are:

  • David Guetta’s new album Nothing But The Beat
  • Skrillex Bangarang

  • Gareth Emery
  • Shiny Toy Guns

Here is my entire gym playlist:

What is your favorite music to workout too?

Friend Making Mondays: What Makes YOU Beautiful

Sweat it Out:
Weights 30 Minutes
Elliptical 45 Minutes

This week’s FMM was a tough subject.  Aren’t most of us taught that we shouldn’t brag about ourselves?  I know I was, and most times its hard to even be able to take a compliment let alone think about things that make you beautiful.  After thinking about this subject I came to the conclusion that this is exactly what I need after having a few down in the dumps weeks.

My first reaction was what made me beautiful on the inside, and I’m glad that my thoughts go there first.  Vanity and self centeredness drive me insane, and there is definitely a time and a place to talk about yourself.  I will use today as one of those times since I am in need of feeling some sort of specialness right now.

Fmm: What makes YOU beautiful?

Leave out all of the negative stuff, and concentrate on the beauty that’s within you – seen and unseen.

I’ll start with vanity because it is a short list.  I love myself and I think that I am an attractive woman, but there are two parts on me that I usually get complimented on the most (get your heads out of the gutter, at least I know what my husband is thinking).

  • I have great eyelashes.  They are long and they have just the right amount of curl to them.  I have never had to use an eyelash curler, and I only need a little mascara to make them pop.
  • I have tiny ankles.  It is one of the ways I know that I have a smaller frame than people think.

Now on to the stuff that you can’t see:

  • I have a great sense of humor.  It is usually one of the first things people notice about me.
  • I am sensitive, and in turn it helps me to be sensitive to others.
  • I can take constructive criticism very well.  This makes me beautiful because it shows that I am caring and I care what people think of me.  IMO, you SHOULD care what people think of you, to an extent.  I think this world needs more people who give a sh!t and less people who are in it for themselves and have reckless abandonment when it comes to others.
  • I have an ability to make people feel at ease, and I am very trustworthy.  Maybe its my 10 years of management experience, but I have never had an employee hesitate to come to me as a confident.  I have also never had a friend that wouldn’t confide in me and trust me to keep their secrets.
  • I love fiercely.  Once you are in my heart I find it really hard to let you go.  I may not show my love with a lot of hugging and outward emotion, but I would do anything for the people I love.
  • I see the light that people don’t usually see in themselves.  This goes positive and negative for me.  It makes me insane because I just want those people to see what I see, but I also waste a lot of time with people who will never let their light shine.  I wish we could all see the beauty in ourselves.  I know this world would be a better place if everyone could.
I am so glad that I decided to participate in this weeks FMM, becuase what turned out, at first, to be a scary subject, turned out to be a highlight of my day.  I think it says that sometimes we need to take a step back and think about the things that make us beautiful to ourselves and to others.
What makes you beautiful?

FMM: Before Photo’s

This post is a long time coming.  I am so glad that Friend Making Monday is on before and after pictures.  Let’s jump right into it!

FMM: Before Photos

1. Are you on a weight loss journey? Have you lost weight in the past? Are you trying to lose it now? Yes, Yes, & Yes.  Apparently I have a bit of a weight problem that will be a life long battle.

2. Do you like being in pictures or do you shy away from the camera?  I don’t go out of my way to be in a picture, but I also don’t mind my picture taken.

3. Does looking at your old photos motivate you?  YES!  I still can’t believe I started at 282.8 pounds and I looked a lot bigger than I deluded myself to think.

4. Weight-loss bloggers: Do you post progress photo’s on your blog?  Yes, but I haven’t in a while so this will be good for me!

5. Will you share a before photo with us (even if you don’t have an after yet)?  Yes!  I can see such a difference it is really motivating to post these!  Just keep in mind that my photographer s at work, so I had to take self portraits in my mirror.  And the lighting is much different in each pic, which makes a bit of a difference.  Here they are!!!!:

I’ve seen a pretty big difference in my stomach and under my bust.  What do you think?  Can you see the difference?   34 pounds lighter, and just finished “The New Rules of LIfting for Women” 2 weeks ago!  What a great way to start this week off!

FMM: Makeup Favorites

Man is this topic totally up my ally!  I worked for Nordstrom for 3 years, and 2 of those years were in cosmetics.  In that time I accrued quite the makeup hoard (which I have given away a LOT of it because you can only wear so much makeup until it smells funny. Yes, makeup does have expiration dates).

I worked for a skin care company named Kiehls (I still use their products because they are wonderful!).  The great thing about working in cosmetics is that you can trade “gratis” (free $h!t) to other cosmetic counters for their products.  The Mac counter-manager’s husband loved the Kiehls products for men (they always make top 10 lists) and so we would swap brands every couple of months.

One thing that is great about having a lot of makeup is that you can pull off many different looks, but those looks don’t transition well going from a cosmetic counter job, to a desk job selling insurance.  All of my outlandish colors got given away, or they are used about once a year.

Anyway…

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. FMM: Makeup Favorites

1. Do you wear makeup everyday?  No.  Two years ago I decided to stop wearing so much makeup because no matter what brand of makeup I wear, I seem to break out around my chin area. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE makeup, but after not wearing foundation for about 3 months my skin became smooth and clear.  It has also saved me money, so most days I just wear a little eyeliner and mascara.

2. Does your routine change if you are going out with friends/on a date/to a party?  I do wear a full face of makeup for special events like date night, or girls night out.  I always wear makeup to church.  I find that if I only put on a full face of makeup 1-2 days out of the week, my skin still stays clear.

3. Are you loyal to one brand, or do you use different brands for different things?  I have yet to find a cosmetic line that is amazing at all makeup aspects, but there are a few things that I am brand loyal to.

4. Do you use primer/concealer? I feel like primer makes my pores look HUGE, and concealer on occasion.  I use a Stila concealer because all of their face makeup has a tint of yellow for people who have naturally reddish skin, like me.  It seems to stay in place the best for me.

5. What’s your favorite brand of foundation? Stila all the way!  It is light with good coverage and has that slightly yellow tint so that it makes my skin more porcelain like.

6. Do you use blush and/or bronzer?  I use blush in all forms, powder or creme.  I love Stila’s cream blush I also have a lot of MAC blush and Laura Mercier.  I am always on the hunt for the perfect pink blush.  I have found that Stila’s “cozy” is the best pink I’ve found thus far.

7. Do you wear eyeshadow/liner? When I wear a full face yes.  Although, I hate liquid liner.  I never could master the application.

8. What’s your favorite kind of mascara? MAC, but I can’t remember which line, and I am too lazy to go look.

9. Lipstick?  Lipgloss? Both?  Favorite?  I always think I am going to wear lipgloss, so I have a ton, but always end up wearing chap stick?  I usually layer, thin line of chap stick, and Bobbi Brown lip shine.  It gives the perfect amount of shine with out the lip gloss being too thick.  The thing I hate about lip stuff in general is that it leaves marks all over my baby girl when I kiss her and stuff on my hub’s.  Apparently I am a kisser.

10. Do you wear nail polish regularly?  If so which are your favorite colors/brands?  I never wear polish on my hands, I like my hands natural looking. Plus, chipped nails drive me insane.  I almost always have my toes painted.  I love the OPI brand and one of my favorite colors is Root Beer Float.

11. How do you remove your make up at the end of the day?  When I wear makeup I use baby wipes (I always have a steady supply).  I have found it is gentle on my skin and more effective than washing with cleanser and water.

12. Do you feel prettier when you are wearing makeup?  Of course!  But that is also why I save it for special occasions because when I wear it everyday it loses its luster.

13. Do you have any beauty tips that you could pass along?  Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.  Find a good face moisturizer (preferably with an SPF) and moisturize day and night!

Now it’s your turn!  Answer a question or blog about it and link up over at Kenlie’s blog!

Stay tuned for a weigh in and a measurement post later on!

FMM: Short Answers

Happy Monday!

I had a very fun-filled weekend to celebrate my hubs’ birthday, despite the weather being cold and gray.  We had a babysitter on Saturday night so we got to go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and then saw the movie Contraband (it was ok).  It was so nice to be able to go out for a few hours by ourselves and I think that getting a babysitter will have to be a monthly occurrence.

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers.  FMM: Short Answers

1. Mac or PC? Mac!  All the way!  I got a MacBook Pro about 2 years ago, and I don’t think I will ever go back to a PC.

2. Do you paint your own nails? I don’t paint my nails because they always chip, so why bother.  I do however, paint my toenails.

3.  Beach or Mountains? Mountains.  I am from Utah and now live in Colorado.  I have found that mountains are a great way to tell direction, and they are beautiful!

4. What’s the title of the book you are currently reading? The Women’s Auxiliary and I am too lazy to go see who the author is.

5. Do you dance? Only when I’m by myself.  The hub’s doesn’t even get to see it happen very often.  Although, sometimes he tricks me into slow dancing Junior High style.

6. CNN or Fox News?  Neither.  I don’t watch a lot of news.  I read online from different papers, but I don’t like to read everyday because I believe that the news is a downer.  There is not a lot of positivity, and things get over-exaggerated in order to increase viewership.  Especially during election years.

7. Do you ride a bicycle? I have a Gary Fisher mountain bike, but it doesn’t get a lot of play since I am a little paranoid about biking on busy roads (which surround my house).

8. Do you get a yearly flu shot? No.  My daughter does though.  I have never had a flu shot until I was pregnant, and I didn’t want Hanna to get the flu since she was a winter baby.  I haven’t had the flu since I was in elementary school, and a few 24 hour sicknesses that I can attribute to food poisoning from fast food, and a Golden Corral.

9. Best Movie you’ve seen in 2012? It’s only 3 weeks in and so I haven’t had much time to watch movies, but I did just see Crazy, Stupid, Love, and I enjoyed it a lot.

10. Do you prefer to workout at home or at the gym.  Gym.

11. Last airport you were in? Besides Grand Junction? Phoenix.

12. Married or Single? Married almost 10 years!

13. iPhone or Android? iPhone!

14. Do you prefer to take pictures or be in them? Both!

15. Favorite brand of sneakers? Asics!

16. Do you like snow?  I love it, but only if my husband doesn’t have to drive to work in it (he totaled his truck a couple of years ago after a snow storm).

17. Do you have/want kids? Have one and I want one more.

18. Summer or Winter?  More like Spring and Fall.

19. Do you know how to swim? Yes, but I am not very good at it.

20. Do you prefer to shop in store or online?  In store, but there is not a lot of shopping where I live so I end up buying a lot online.

Now it’s your turn!  Pick a question and answer it in the comments, or blog it yourself and link up at All The Weigh!

Stay tuned for a weigh in, and my final thoughts on the Vegan kickstart that ended yesterday!

FMM: Getting to Know You

*Stay tuned, there will be an update on the PCRM 21-day vegan kickstart program that I have been participating in since January 2, and a weigh in later in the day.

I’ve been kind of MIA this weekend!  I’ve been enjoying some much needed time with my little family where we did some shopping, went and had Indian food, and snuggled up to watch Contagion.  So let’s start this fine Monday off the right way:

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. FMM: Getting To Know You

1. What is one of your favorite ways to spend a Saturday?  Exactly how I spent this last saturday.  Shopping, having lunch, and renting a movie.  I use to do this activity a lot with my parents growing up, so it always brings good memories.

2. List your top 3 favorite TV shows. The Office, Friends (even though it’s no longer on the air, I always watch the re-runs on nick-at-night), The Soup (In never miss it).

3. Would you rather be in pictures or take them? I don’t really mind having my picture taken, it’s the honest truth staring you in the face and you can’t go around not making memories just because you don’t like the way you look.  Plus, I feel kind of awkward when I ask if I can take someone’s picture.

4. Why do you blog?  It started as a way to hold myself accountable, and even to use as a journal.  I find that it has been therapeutic, and that I have met some pretty amazing people!

5. Share 5 websites that you visit regularly.

  • FaceBook.
  • Twitter
  • My Google Reader
  • Pintrest
  • Livestrong (where I track my food)

6. If you could have lunch from one person from your twitter list who would it be.  First off, I don’t follow any celebrities on twitter.  With that said it would have to some of my blogger icons like @janeeetha from mealsandmoves.com.  Plus she lives in Utah, which I visit all the time so at least it is realistic!

7. List a few of your favorite snacks.  Are we talking good snacks or bad snacks?  Good would be fruit of any kind, peanut butter, hummus.  Bad would be a king size Reeses Big cup, or the Kirkland brand peanut butter cups, which are amazing (can you tell I love PB?).

8. Do you have a pet?  If so, what kind?  We have a cat name kitty (real original).  She tided me over until I had Hanna, but she has been such a good cat!  Hanna can lay on top of her (like she always does) and the cat doesn’t get mad or try to scratch her.  She really has redeemed cat’s to me since I am actually more of a dog person.

9.  Which 3 material possessions would you struggle to live without? My iphone, laptop, and DVR.

10. What’s your favorite drink? Kombucha, and if you are wondering what it is, I will be doing an entire post on it sometime this week!

11. Do you enjoy cooking? Yes!  Especially since I have been doing the Vegan Kick Start.  I love to try new recipe’s!

12. Do you have children? An adorable 15 month old that makes my world turn!

13. What are your favorite hobbies? Lately they have been working out, cooking, reading, etc.

14. Would you consider yourself to be shy or outgoing? I am somewhere in the middle.  I can do whatever the situation calls for, but I also like to keep to myself.

15. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  Probably the question above.  I wish I was more outgoing.

16. Who is your favorite actor/actress?  I honestly couldn’t say.  I know they are out there, I just can’t think of one.

17. What’s the coolest thing you have done this week?  I made it through the entire week eating vegan and I feel amazing!

18. Do you live near your family or far away from them? I live about 4 hours away from most of my family so we visit about 4 times a year.

19. List 3 of your talents.  Gift wrapping, the ability to make people laugh, and I have good problem solving skills.

20. What’s your greatest attribute?  I am adaptable.

FMM & Vacation Recovery…

Santa brought me something very special this year.  I must have been a very good girl.  The cold I received on Christmas is the most full blown cold I have had in a couple of years.  Achy, snotty, and a horrible cough rounded out my holiday vacation.  Normally I would be at the gym right now getting my sweat on, but instead I’ve decided that I need to take it easy for the next couple of days. I need a vacation from my vacation!

I did get on the scale this morning, and then I QUICKLY jumped off.  I will say that my goal for maintenance did not happen, but I also know that a lot of the gain I see is salt, too many carbs, and just poor eating all around.  I also only got out for a walk once last week.  My week was a total fail diet and exercise wise.  But that is why today is a new day, and so I am moving on and getting into detox mode this week!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. FMM: Do you celebrate Christmas and/or Hanukkah? If so, tell us about your Holidays 2011 experience…Did you enjoy it?  Do you wish it had been different?

I had an amazing Christmas with my brother and his family in Gilbert, Arizona.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and so I have no pictures :( .

The week started out with a lot of shopping!  Dustin and I live in an area where the shopping is sub-par (to say the least) so we tried to take as much advantage as we could of the great malls they have in AZ.  We also got a present for my mom and niece.

On Tuesday we went to Zoolights with the family which was great for the 5 kids, and interesting for the adults (and by interesting I mean, we did it for the kids).  Wednesday and Thursday consisted of more shopping and we got to go out to dinner with just the adults (Dustin and I, Ryan and Jen, and my mom).  We went to Cheesecake Factory, and I ate a delicious salad, and of course had a piece of chocolate coconut cheesecake.  We had a fun night just hanging out and talking.  Dustin and I don’t get out very often without the baby so we took full advantage of spending some much-needed time out with adults!

Friday night Dustin and I went to a Bob Seger concert!  I can’t even tell you how long its been since I’ve been to a concert.  Dustin decided that he wanted tickets for his Christmas present so he enjoyed it most of all.  I was starting to get sick at that point so I tried to enjoy it as much as I could. I loved when he sang Little Drummer Boy, and I also loved the Silver Bullet Band, it was amazing to see so many amazing musicians.  It was a good time!

Saturday night we got together with one of my cousin’s that lives out by my brother, and some family friends.  A great surprise was seeing my Aunt Maryann.  She is a flight attendant and had a layover in Phoenix, so she got to spend the night with us catching up after not seeing each other for about 4 years!

The kids decorated cookies for santa, and my SIL made a turkey dinner for us all to enjoy!  I enjoyed the food a little too much!  I am in need of a major detox.  My mom has a tradition  of reading us a Christmas Children’s book on Christmas Eve, and it can be hard to get through with all the kids.  We helped my brother and SIL play santa, and didn’t get into bed until almost midnight.  I am such a light weight with staying up lately, we didn’t go to bed before 11 every night.  I am looking forward to catching up on my sleep!

We got up and watched the kids unwrap their presents from Santa, and from the family.  My niece Chloe loved the Tinkerbell barbies Hanna got her, so much she took a nap with them.  Then we spent the rest of the day getting ready to go to the airport, and lounging.  By this time I was getting progressively sick, and just plain not feeling good.  We missed church so I could nap Hanna in hopes that she wouldn’t be too ornery for the plane ride.

After saying goodbye to all of my family we took a plane ride with a fidgety baby and a longer flight than we expected.  The cherry on top was when we couldn’t get our car to start after leaving it at the airport for 7 days.  We got home at 11 and promptly went to bed.

All-in-all we had a fun holiday with family, and that is what Christmas is about to me, spending time with family and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ!

FMM: I Am _____________.

Sweat it Out:
Elliptical 1 Hour

I got to the gym this morning and I have a feeling that because I started my week sweating, it will help me to go everyday for the rest of this week.  Today my hubs has the morning off and so we are going to see if we can get a little Christmas shopping done, and then he is working nights for the next three days.  Since on his next week off we will be in Arizona, he is a working fool to make up for it.  I got a hard workin’ man!  This also means that my laptop goes with him so I may be blogging sporadically for the next few days.  I will most likely be combining my #WEverb11 posts for the next couple days.

FMM: I am…

1.  I am good at…….wrapping presents:

See?  I hate to say I told ya so.  I worked at Dillard’s in Customer Service (and gift wrap) for 4 years.  I spend almost as much money on wrapping paper and ribbon every Christmas as I do presents.  I hold my standards high, and the wrapping always has to be on point!  Lately, I have stuck to one wrapping paper and one kind of ribbon to keep it cheaper.

2. I am happy when……I am with family.  I moved away from all of my family a little over five years ago, and since then I look forward to each and every visit.  Especially now that I have Hanna, she loves her family so much!

3. I am working on…….losing weight (in case you’re a new reader). 2012 is going to be HUGE for me, I can feel it in my bones!

4. I am interested in……a LOT of things.  Just a few right now are exercise, music, movies, blogging, social media, handbags, shoes, etc.

5. I am always……up for a girls night.  Since the baby it is hard to get out, so I enjoy when I get to hang out with just the girls.

6. I am enjoying…….Christmas time!  Last year I was still recovering from c-section and getting use to the new little life that had taken over my world.  I just didn’t have time to enjoy Christmas shopping and decorating.  I couldn’t bake anything for friends, and because my baby was so new I wasn’t attending church because it was RSV season.  I love that I get to enjoy this holiday this year, it has been so nice to put my tree up and get to go shopping for others!

7. I am in……Colorado.  But I will be off to Arizona in two weeks to visit my brother and his family.  I am so excited!

8. I am reading……..The Girl Who Played With Fire  by Stieg Larrsen.  Unfortunately, I read about one page and then fall asleep.

9. I am concerned about…..Going on a plane with my baby for the first time.  I am really hoping that she behaves and doesn’t throw a fit!

10. I am looking forward to…..Besides going to Arizona, the new year!  There are going to be a lot of changes this upcoming year and I am anxious for them to start happening!

You are………….
