Sweat it Out:
1 Hour Elliptical
45 Minute Spin Class
I got so caught up in my post yesterday that I forgot to include my workout re-cap. So for documents sake yesterday was day 12, phase 1, workout A and this is what it looked like:
- Deadlifts: Warm-up 30 pounds, s1-3 60 pounds, 3 sets 10 reps
- Shoulder Press: Warm-up 7.5 pounds each,s s1-3 15 pounds each, 3 sets 10 reps
- Lat Pull-down: Warm-up 40 Pounds, s1 80 pounds, s2,s3 70 pounds, 3 sets 10 reps
- Lunges: 22 pound bar, 3 sets, 10 reps
- Prone Jack Knifes: 3 set of 15 reps
Today I am feeling those deadlifts. That, or the spin class, I’m not sure. What I do know, is that I am READY for a rest day! I am so excited to relax for the next day and a half.
Food for Thought (literally)
Raise your hand if you like mayonnaise (if you could see me, both of my hands are in the air). Hello? Ranch Dressing? Pretty much the best. And one of my favorite lunchtime meals is Tuna Salad made with mayo. Since starting Weight Watchers there are few foods that I have given up since I could always just include them in my points, but I have found the last few weeks that there may be food I either need to find in a light version, or just cut them out completely.
A couple of days ago I decided that I really wanted tuna salad, but I didn’t want to make it with mayo since the fat content is outrageous. So I decided to try the light mayo version which only has 15 calories, and 1.5 fat grams per serving. When I got it home I checked out the ingredients and I found that a lot of the ingredients are fillers and thickeners. I made my tuna salad with celery and purple onion and then added the lt. mayo. It didn’t taste anything like regular mayo, not even close. I know, I know, it is LIGHT mayo and of course it’s not going to taste like regular. Apparently, I was in some sort of fantasy world because I was really hoping that I could find some sort of substitute.
Now I am stuck with the decision to tough it out with the Lt. Mayo, or just quit mayo all together. If I quit, I will have to have a funeral for regular mayo. I guess I will start to prepare my eulogy. We were long time friends, I at least owe it that.
Do you like mayo?
Do you have a yummy sub for mayo? (and if you say Miracle whip, we are no longer friends.)
